DEB Tree Planting & Sweater Drive
Initiative Highlights
Combined tree planting with a sweater donation drive for students
About This Project
At DEB KMC Primary School, Nurture Kizazi Organization conducted a tree planting and mentorship initiative aimed at promoting environmental conservation and supporting student welfare. The event brought together volunteers, teachers, and students in a meaningful day of learning, mentorship, and community impact. As part of the initiative, volunteers planted trees within the school compound to help improve green cover and encourage environmental stewardship among learners. Nurture Kizazi also engaged students through mentorship sessions designed to inspire personal growth, leadership, and responsibility among young learners. In addition, the organization supported several established Mazingira Champions Clubs through sweater donations to students in need, helping create a more supportive learning environment. Teachers were also appreciated through gift donations in recognition of their continued role in nurturing and guiding students. The initiative combined environmental action with social support, creating a lasting positive impact within the school community.
